Coffee Mornings
The Strand Centre now provides three coffee mornings each week.

Mondays 10.00—noon
Run by obe if tge Centre's partners, Oakwood Court College, you can start the day with a tasty bacon butty and a hot drink for only £1.50. In addition there are free morning newspapers as you build up strength to face the week ahead.

Tuesdays and
Wednesdays
10.00 - noon
Another of the Centre's partners, the local Cancer Resarch Group, runs a twice weekly sale with coffee and cakes, often accompanied by live piano music. It's a great place to meet friends.

Thursdays 10.00 - noon
The congregation runs Kids and Coffee (see children), so in addition to a normal coffee morning, there is our toddlers group with its extensive equipment and professional leadership. There is always group singing from 11.00.

Second Tuesdays 10.00 - noon
Dawlish Home Aid runs a coffee morning renouned for its fantastic cakes for eating on and off the premises. Ther is also a wide range of preserves to buy - ideal gifs for friends and self-indulgence

Cream Teas Currently suspended
Wednesdays 1.45 - 3.00
Traditional Devon Cream Teas served by Oakwood Court College for only £1.50.

Lunches
With the Strand Centre we now run two Lunch Clubs:

Knit & Chat

Originally the Banner Group (see banners) we now knit blankets for HIV/AIDS orphaned children in Malawi and enjoy a chat.  Details of the work are available here.

Friendship Hour
Thurs 2.30—3.30
A place to make new friends and renew friendship. Sometimes there is a talk or video, and there are Members Afternoons when members share their favourite music, poem or reading.
